Every road leads to the capital

Markoria now has eight playable main battles and the optional Elden Grove rescue. Whispering Hills introduces a twelve-wave defense of two forest passages; King’s Rest closes the route with fifteen waves, thirteen foundations and three entrances converging on a single gate.

The campaign has been rewritten around the people who depend on these places. Silverwood carries the first warnings, Ironcrest reconnects patrols, Oakheart saves food and families, and Ravenbridge holds the supply line. Those victories bring help to the capital.

Three bosses with different purposes

The Black Marshal remains Ravenbridge’s disciplined masked commander. At King’s Rest, Gorrak leads the western invasion and Vareth approaches from the east under violet bindings. Both arrive in wave 15; both must fall, along with the surviving army.

Gorrak’s roar strengthens nearby warband troops, and Last Stand accelerates him below 30% health. Vareth uses Earthshatter and two health-triggered Runic Shields. His story belongs to an unwilling guardian whose bindings can be broken. Dialogue reflects which heroes are deployed.

Wraiths change what it means to hold a road

The normal roster has grown to eleven enemy types. Wraiths enter Whispering Hills in wave 4. During their three-second Spectral Form they move faster, pass through soldiers and ignore all damage. Between phases, Soul Drain restores a portion of damage dealt.

The rest of the roster still asks for different answers: protect soldiers from Renegade Archers, break Shaman-supported formations, cover flying routes and account for Ironclad shields. Late-wave health tuning means base encyclopedia stats do not describe every spawned unit.

More decisions after Level 2

Nine tower specializations are reachable in this chapter. Storm Spire opens at Ravenbridge, Inferno at Eastern Road and Frost at Whispering Hills. At Level 6, a Reinforced Cannon can become a Siege Mortar or Thunder Battery for 400 gold.

The Mortar delivers wide, fixed-point explosive blasts against ground groups. Thunder Battery trades blast size for reach, cadence and tracking shots against ground and flying enemies. It still deals explosive damage. Both branches use the existing upgrade, selling and permanent-modifier systems.

Heroes grow with the defense

Unlocking Milla or Marko is the beginning of their progression. Eligible selected participants gain 50 XP per victory. Their passive unlocks at 100 total XP, and their automatic ultimate at 250 XP, the current maximum. Replays can advance heroes; persisted receipts prevent paying the same attempt twice.

The hero book, battle HUD and victory rewards show this progression. Milla and Marko also have revised biographies: protecting villages beyond the walls and maintaining the kingdom’s defenses are two expressions of the same responsibility.

An older mystery beneath the victory

Story spoilers follow. Recovered orders carry an empty circlet. Boundary stones bear fresh violet marks. A Whispering Hills chronicle names the Verdant Ward, a safeguard bound to root, river and renewal.

The ending celebrates the people saved at King’s Rest while revealing that the Ward’s light has vanished. The Three Wards and Crownless chronicles leave the planner’s identity unresolved and point toward reports from Kataris. The northern realm and Rahelkar have lore, but no playable chapters yet.

The history now explicitly distinguishes the ancient Milla the Unifier from present-day Princess Milla. Their shared name does not establish a further family relationship.

Art, interface and a first public introduction

The refreshed gallery brings together the new battlefields, all eleven normal enemy portraits, the three commanders, tower art and interface assets. Separate labels identify production artwork, offline UI compositions and social artwork.

What the development evidence establishes

The Cannon-branch implementation report records 419 passing core tests, an unsigned iPhone Debug build, and successful native decoding of 1,280 runtime assets. These are recorded game-project results, not new game tests run for this website update.

Offline compositions cover compact landscape interfaces, tower branches and later battlefields. They help review layout and artwork; they do not establish interactive device behavior. Device playtesting, subjective audio mixing and final balance remain work in progress.

There is no release date or public download announced here. Oakheart Village, Stormwatch Keep and Mirewood Pass remain authored side missions without battles. Kataris and Rahelkar remain future realms.
